Generator

High quality. Manufactured in France to exceptional standards, the Acteon X-Mind radiographic generator is dedicated to providing the highest quality veterinary dental radiography. Using specialist image processing algorithms, the X-Mind generator provides high image definition required for bone-density assessment, diagnostics and treatment scheduling in veterinary dentistry. No matter what the conditions of use, the X-mind consistently emits high quality radiation because it operates at high frequencies and constant potential.

Perfect Images. Sharp, diagnostic images are easily achieved through an intuitive veterinary control panel and automatic optimisation of exposure. The choice of voltage (60 or 70 kV) and intensity (4 or 8 mA) enables optimal diagnosis of intra oral x-rays with a 35% reduction in exposure time, compared with monophase units

Reliability. The X-Mind generator is renowned for its reliability and consistent performance. The control software automatically compensates for variations in mains voltage, ensuring emitted radiation quality is always the best possible and images are reproducible.

Speed. The system has minimal delay between radiographs, significantly reducing operational time and allowing a full mouth set of radiographs to be obtained quickly and efficiently. The electronics programme, enables the exposure time (minimum 0.02 sec.) and radiation absorption to be reduced. Using digital sensors reduces the exposure time by 75% compared with conventional intra-oral x-ray film. Digital sensors also reduce time spent producing dental radiographs as there is no processing time and retaking images is quick as the tube-head and sensor remain in position requiring only minor adjustment. Reducing time improves theatre efficiency and reduces patient anaesthesia time.

Safety. Two beam limitation devices made of lead, and the expansion chamber ensure maximum protection for staff. When used with a Sopix sensor, radiographic exposure is further decreased thereby providing exceptional patient and staff safety.

Flexible. The X-Mind arms and the tube head, which rotates 395° around the vertical axis, provide great flexibility of use and accurate positioning. The X-Mind may be mobile or wall mounted. If wall mounted, three extension arms are available: 41 cm, 82.5 cm and 110 cm, giving reaches respectively of 143 cm, 184 cm and 212 cm (with a long cone).

Although pre-programmed, all exposure times can be customised. Exposure times are optimised for use
with digital sensors and compatible with practically all digital imaging systems. However, the X-Mind may be used with conventional intra-oral film and one key allows the user to instantly change between film and digital sensor.

Sensor

With proven quality and reliability, the SOPIX® offers a good quality image at a very affordable price. This is the most economical solution of the SOPIX® series.

The sensor is a result of years of research into the specific needs of veterinary dentistry and incorporates patented ACE® technology with a fibre optic-based CMOS chip. ACE® technology is available on all SOPIX® series sensors and controls the amount of radiation accumulated by the sensor, freezing the image acquisition as soon as it receives the necessary radiation which ensures all images are optimal and never overexposed.
