Maxiguard Dispensary Packs

Please log in to order

The smaller bottles in these packs are perfect for dispensing routinely after a professional dental prophylaxis to prevent plaque accumulation and as a low cost introduction to homecare. Dispensary bottles are designed to cover the 7 days post dental when a hard diet and brushing may not be possible, after which time ongoing home care can be discussed with the owner. They may also be used 7 days before a dental prophylaxis to soften calculus, thereby reducing scaling time by 30%. It is advisable to use MAXIGUARD® OraZn for cats and small dogs as they may not tolerate the slightly acidic taste of MAXIGUARD® Oral gel.

Instructions for Application.

Application to larger dogs is often easier by direct, but careful, application directly from the bottle. If it is to be used in small dogs and cats, apply 2 drops for small dogs and 1 drop for cats to your index finger, gauze pad, swab, or finger brush to treat one side of the pet’s mouth. Simply rub the gel briefly over the gum area above the outside of the upper back molars. Repeat on the opposite side. The Zinc Ascorbate gel will stimulate the salivary glands, and provide a gentle bathing action throughout the oral cavity. Do not rub additional gel on multiple oral areas. You will simply waste your professional strength product and may cause hyper-salivation.

Supplied premixed and must be stored away from light, ideally in a refrigerator.
