VDS provide a full range of irrigated powered equine dental systems. All powered systems generate heat which can damage the pulp and result in the death of a tooth. These damaged teeth may then become infected and result in abscesses which, if untreated, can lead to further complications. VDS Equine Powered Dental Systems are specifically designed for dentistry, reducing the risk of damage by using sufficient water to irrigate and cool the teeth while the power tool is being used.
The use of any power tool without sufficient irrigation to cool the teeth is an animal welfare issue.

The Versa-Float™ Kit provides practitioners with a mobile instrument to enhance floating techniques. The Versa-Float™ dental system delivers a high standard in power dental instruments. The variable speed unit is controlled by the trigger on the pistol-grip handle, allowing the practitioner more control and accuracy in the mouth and the cooling irrigation protects animal welfare.
Flexi Float Ultra
The Flexi-Float™ Ultra is a lightweight, compact, all-in-one, battery-powered irrigated equine float system.
The slender design and moveable disc angle allows practitioners to manoeuvre around the dental arcade and the shaft rotates 180 degrees for use on both the upper and lower arcade.
This well balanced system has fully integrated irrigation, suction and trigger speed control which allows for quick removal of hooks in the mouth whilst providing sufficient cooling to promote animal welfare.
The Flexi-Float™ Ultra is battery powered making it completely mobile. The rechargeable battery lasts between 8-10 horses. The diamond discs are smoother and last longer than carbide discs and can be quickly changed out in the field, taking less than one minute. Clean daily and grease after every 100 uses.
